Due to the number of growers yet to register and license for the 2015 - 2016 Marketing Season the commission has allowed for an extension that will run from 11 January 2016 to 29 January 2016. Those that have not registered or renewed their registrations are asked to complete before this period ends.
Growers who have not registered to complete licensing their registration numbers at TCC offices in Mzuzu, Kasungu, Lilongwe and Limbe. All growers that already started their renewal processes will pay fees according to the exchange rate at the time of payment but those renewing now will pay the 50% penalty fee on top of their normal fees.
The commission further advises that there will be no quota uplifts in the season.
